Andy And Jo( 2025)

Andy And Jo( 2025)

Rewind back to May this year, I was acting in a short film not only I produced but acted and wrote. Was one of my most nervous shoots I’ve done. Compared to the musical, this was nerve wracking.

So the idea of the shoot came by when my friend said that there’s a studio available for 2 days at the school. I was excited about that so I decided to write Andy and Jo;

In the quiet corners of a makeshift darkroom, two best friends confront ambition, grief, and unspoken love.

It was quite a personal story with some of the topics but it felt like it was good start back in to that world.

Our pre production was around 8 weeks which was long but was between holidays as well. It wasn’t the smoothest pre production I would’ve wished for but that’s is just the process.

Shooting days

The first day at the first half was a bit stressful since everyone is getting used to the people and the shoot. I had the chance to work with my friend who was also acting with me! Was really nice to work! The shoot was fun but then it came with its own challenges.

The biggest obvious ones was performing in front of my friends. I was nervous as hell. I hadn’t done that before and hadn’t performed in a while. However, the nice part about this was that my director was also an acting coach so we were getting classes from him as well while filming. It bought back a lot of the things I did in my classes but also thought me a bunch of new things.

Overall the shoot went as smoothly as it can go while also teaching and opening me more to wanting to focus more on producing and doing a good job in that which led me to motion blur, my graduation which I produced.
