A bibliography musical of Robbie William. A singer song writer who was part of the band Take That from 1991-1996. He released his first album in 1997 which became a hit sensation. A film Directed by Michael Gracey Written by Simon Gleeson, Oliver Cole and Michael Gracey. Starring Robbie Williams, Jonno Davies Steve Pemberton and Raechelle Banno,
The film didn't live up to my expectations, it was better. There was humour as well as reflection on how fame isn't what you expect it to be. You are to behave differently and behave a way they expect you to. It is very hard to watch in parts. We start off seeing him watch his heroes on the TV with his father. It was sad story seeing the truth of how he was treated by his band members and how his father ignored him for most of the time.
The saddest part was the phone call from his mother. The regret and heavy emotions that scene held is tough. He got trapped in the world that he wanted, he forgot the world that was with him when he had nothing. The film carried the emotions throughout really well and balance in with the stylistic aspects of the film.
I first wasn't too sure about the monkey but then I was discussing it with my friend and she mentioned he did not feel that he has developed as much as the others which is why he became a monkey in the film. It was a clever idea and one I didn't really think of and it worked. The film progresses through the music from a boyband cheesy music to a solo artist.
