The film touch on two men loving each other, the fear of what people would think and living with fear. A film directed by Ang Lee written by
Annie Proulx , Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana. Starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The film reflects on the harsh reality of being gay in a community that does not support or believe in it. It dives in to the consequences of not living the way you want to and how lies reflect everyone around you. The film is set in a period where if they found out you were gay, you're likely to be killed. I love the topic of men falling in love with each other. The film also carries sorrow and pain of the two not being able to live with each other or living a life they want to with each other. The film balances out the character giving expectations to society while also hiding the truth. It's a tough take. For me as the audience I wish Ennis had the courage to live with Jack.

That scares me. The film makes me think about what happens if I never allowed myself to love and live with the person who understands me the most. During the ending is what broke me the most. Ennis now lives with regret of not being able to full fill the love he has with Jack because of the fear he lived with. Overall, it was touching and the performance overall was a masterpiece and strong.
