Movie Premiere Of The Book Of Clarence (2024)
Filled with humour, emotion and the power of beliefs. Story of a man who wants to prove to his brother that he is not a failure and to get the women he loves. He decides to become a messiah. A film directed by Jeymes Samuel. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, LaKeith Stanfield, David Oyelowo, Omar Sy, Caleb McLaughlin, Chase Dillon and Caleb Frederick .
The movie follows a man name clarence( LaKeith Stanfield) who is wanting to prove to his religious brother that he is not a man that is worth nothing. The movie itself is from what the director, Jeymes Samuel childhood. Getting to know the meaning behind the creation of this masterpiece.
With clarence eager to prove to his brother and get the girl he wants, he decides to become a Messiah. Clarence isn't a man who believes in Jesus. He believes in the power of knowledge.
The camera choices were interesting. There was a mix of western which is probably influenced from the film Jeymes did called The Harder They Fall. There are a lot of experimental choices through out the film which I am a bit confused by. I really enjoyed the combination of genres in a film. There is so much you can do with art it's not appreciated that much as it deserves.
What was also amazing about this movie was the director sung and produced the music in the film. The lyrics and soundtrack are powerful and meaningful. Everything about the film was amazing. The script was hilarious. The way the humour goes cutting with the intense story line was perfect.
I went to watch the film at the premiere. What an incredible experience. I was able to walk the red carpet and see the director and actor. Met with a friend who wore a beautiful dress and my drama teacher.
It was a great time and experience. The movie will be coming out in 2024.
Things I've learnt from the film:
- Never underestimate the power of a persons belief.
- In the process of finding hope, you'll find the meaning of kindness towards others and the meaning of life.
- Just because you believe in something doesn't mean it's wrong.
- You'll never know what is going behind ones sacrifice.
- Jesus holds people together. He shows the real side of people and helps those who need.
- The beauty of cinema is experimenting new things.
- Art is combining new things together and should be appreciated.
