Recently I have been listening to Steven Bartlett. Founder of FlightStory who is also a host on Diary Of A CEO (DOAC) where he brings on people to discuss about their success and journey to fulfilment.

A piece of content that recently made an impact on me is the "Diary Of A CEO" (DOAC) podcast. This podcast features highly successful individuals who discuss their areas of expertise. I particularly enjoyed a recent episode with Matthew McConaughey where he talks about family and his time breaking out of the romcom film eras by saying “no”. An offer came back of £14million which he turned down. Then, after a year of no roles coming in and thinking it’s his exit out of Hollywood back to law school, all of the rejections on the romcoms came to yes on this role that turned his career.

I am genuinely impressed and moved by the stories shared and how engaging they are told. The conversations delve into presenting yourself and even life itself. These stories are particularly touching because the podcast often covers raw, real, and untold experiences which are stories I love to tell through my writing.

An example of the podcast's impact was highlighted when Jimmy Fallon, he is the host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. After appearing on the DOAC, Fallon invited Bartlett to his show. Fallon revealed a book filled with pictures and moments from their podcast conversation, expressing his appreciation for the effort and care the DOAC team put in. Revisiting the end of their interview hosted by Bartlett, Bartlett's team presented him with this personalised book, a thoughtful compilation of pictures capturing their special moments. This dedication to "sweating the small stuff" truly touched me. It underscores the high standards and immense pressure the podcast team willingly takes on to ensure their guests feel valued and welcomed. This level of commitment reflects my own desire to deliver my very best and to work collaboratively and effectively with others.

Currently, I am most excited by Steven Bartlett himself. This comes from the insightful conversations he hosts on his podcast and his role on "Dragons' Den," a show where entrepreneurs pitch their businesses to potential investors, including Bartlett. I admire his strategic mindset and his ability to leverage resources like social media for free marketing, expanding reach to diverse audiences, and building personal branding. How it can be a space where you can post and create recognition for original stories and to build an audience for it.
