Filled with emotion and diverse, What's love got to do with it tells the story of a filmmaker Zoe Stevenson portrayed by Lily James and a Pakistani doctor, Kazim portrayed by Shazad Latif go through the process of an arranged marriage with different point of views on marriage. We follow Zoe through making a documentary about her childhood friend getting an arranged marriage. Through the process of filming this documentary, we can see between the cultures and point of views in marriage and love.

I already love lily James and seeing her performing in a romcom by the producers of Bridget Jones and Love actually. Two films which have taken my heart and bought out my laughter. It's amazing to see the classic British romantic comedy still being made. Having Emma Thompson in the movie itself, bringing out the humour that she has and the performance took me to the moon and back. Lily James of course made me want to have that little house in the boat and a neighbour who loves to share. Showing the beautiful culture and the celebration of Eid, a celebration celebrating the end of fasting. Celebrating at the end of Ramadan. People and family members would come round and celebrate together.

The story dig deeps down in to the beliefs and culture between the two. "42 and 49" The symbol of two individuals coming from different cultures and background.

Zoe, learning about the "Assisted marriage" from what Kazim calls. In the movie we follow the process of Kazim getting an "Assisted marriage." The film shows how sometimes arrange marriages can go. Their are people who are forced in to marriage and don't have the voice to say. This process also shows Zoe's point of view in marrying somebody. She sees the point of marriage when two people find love with each other where as Kazim, sees marriage as a responsibility and a duty as a man.

The film shows the marrying ceremony which was beautiful. Strong culture and beliefs. We get to see the town and the beautiful side of Pakistan. With a song a man was singing in town. When Kazim is translating to English for Zoe, the meaning behind was powerful and strong. When sitting and having a conversation, Zoe shows her eagerness to film Kazim when he is talking about his family. She is desperate to show the truth of a Muslim family's reaction towards a member getting married to a Christian.

The visual story telling in this film bought more of the culture and the excitement the film has. It shows the strong emotion and the characters feeling towards each opinion that is giving towards the marriage.

The end of the film, their marriage face reality that it's not going to work if ones is not willing to marry one. Zoe's documentary goes on pause because she's a white filmmaker documenting a Pakistani culture.

It's movie's like these which makes me always wanting to tell stories and improve my skills in writing. Here is a script which I recently wrote. A romantic comedy telling the story of two friends meeting again after 10 years.
